Backyard Bird Feeding

Come learn how to create a safe haven for birds in your yard. We will discuss setting up a feeding station, taming feeder “pests”, and preventing window collisions. Learn what plants are best for birds and how you can provide valuable data to bird researchers by watching your backyard feeders, and make some bird feeding treats that you can bring home for the birds in your yard.

 

This program is family friendly, we'll have some activities for the younger ones during the presentation.

 

We are happy to offer our programs at no cost to participants, but if you are able, a $10 suggested donation would be greatly appreciated. Wissahickon Trails is a local, community-supported nonprofit. Our budget depends entirely on the generosity of our supporters—individuals, foundations, and corporations.  Donate online today.

    The gravel parking lot leads to a wheelchair accessible pathway and entrance to the program area. The program takes place entirely on the first floor. There is an accessible family restroom with changing table, all gender restrooms, and bottle filler station on the same floor.
